The Magic of Christmas

Event Summary

On December 20, 2024, the Institute of Computing and Digital Innovations (ICDI) community celebrated the holiday season through the digital launch of "Pamaskong Handog: A Christmas Music Video for Regals". This initiative was a major collaborative effort between the IS All Star Performers and the IMACS Student Council, aimed at showcasing the artistic prowess of Information Systems students while fostering a spirit of generosity.

The project featured an original composition crafted by a dedicated music production team. Key contributors included Glenn Mark Amador (Music Producer and Arranger), Anthony Calooy (Song Arranger and Keyboardist), and composers Jomari Virgo, John Mike Balista, and Glenson Lanang. The track was brought to life by a diverse ensemble of vocalists and a full band, including lead guitarist Jaznel Kyle Bernardino and bassist John Kenneth Isidoro.

As part of the Bayanihan spirit, the production involved the participation of young children from the community. To honor their contribution and spread holiday cheer, the IMACS-SC provided tokens of appreciation to these young participants, highlighting the council's commitment to community outreach and appreciation for local talent.
Beyond the music video, the celebration expanded through the “Yours Truly, Your Secret Santa” initiative. Inspired by the spirit of Santa Claus, students were encouraged to write heartfelt, humorous, or imaginative letters to loved ones—family, friends, classmates, teammates, or even anonymous recipients. These letters became a symbolic gift of words, reinforcing emotional connection during the holidays.
